Welcome to the exciting world of Scalextric Digital. This is the ultimate Digital set - race the four cars provided at the same time, performing amazing, realistic overtaking and braking manoeuvres. You can switch lanes at the touch of a button to overtake or block your opponent.
This set includes everything you need to get started with Scalextric Digital - it features a huge, extended figure-of-eight circuit and comes supplied with four Digital Chip installed F1 cars. Additional digital cars are available or you can easily convert most standard cars to run on digital layouts.
Also included is the Digital Lap Counter. The unit counts down the number of laps remaining in your race, from sprint challenges to endurance racing (up to a maximum 999 laps). With a built in start sequence and false start penalties, racing is more realistic than ever before. The Digital Lap Counter displays the laps remaining along with the number of the race leader. At the end of the race, the unit displays the finishing order. The Digital Lap Counter is powered by the track so no batteries are required.
The set features cars from Vodafone McLaren Mercedes, Ferrari, Honda F1 Racing Team and Renault F1 Team. The four detailed cars are fitted with the super-fast, slim-line FF motor. Build quality and attention to detail is of a high standard. The quality of the printed decoration is excellent. The cars feature easy change pick-ups and the Magnatraction™ system to help them stay on the circuit.
Four cars can be raced simultaneously using the powerbase provided in the set or upgrade to the Advanced Six Car Digital Powerbase (C7042) for six car races plus a host of additional features.
Digital layouts are fully compatible with standard Scalextric track pieces.
